The Cosmébio and Cosmos labels

In order to guarantee our commitment, CHO has chosen to be certified organic since its creation by Natrue at the start, then by Cosmos & Cosmébio. Some of our products are still in transition but all have at one time been certified by one of these organizations.

Since 2017, CHO Nature has chosen the Cosmébio (France) and Cosmos (Europe) labels to guarantee the natural and organic composition of our cosmetic products. A labeled cosmetic allows you to ensure respect for your health and the environment because it does not just consist of a formula, it guarantees everything around it and thus covers the entire life cycle of the product.

Concretely, a product labeled by Cosmébio means that the formula, raw materials and packaging used have been analyzed, monitored and verified by the certification body, in complete transparency.

So, when you buy a labeled product, you have the guarantee that:

• The composition is clean: the cosmetics contain at least 95% ingredients of natural origin and prohibit many controversial ingredients that consumers no longer want.
• The environment is protected: manufacturing and cleaning processes are supervised to exclude techniques that would be harmful to nature, and packaging is considered.
• Employees and partners are valued: organic cosmetics offer living and working conditions compatible with dignity and personal development, particularly through fair and responsible trade.
• Animals are respected: organic cosmetics only use ingredients naturally produced by animals (such as wax, honey or milk). The only exception is carmine, due to the lack of a plant-based alternative (CHO Nature does not use any). Please note that animal testing has been banned in Europe since 2013.
• Marketing is responsible and transparency is essential: organic cosmetics include on the packaging all the information that helps the consumer to see clearly, such as the list of ingredients or the percentages of natural and organic origin.

You will find two types of certification on our products:

• Organic: the product is organic (composed of a majority of ingredients from organic farming)
• Natural: the product is natural (composed of a majority of natural ingredients, such as water, clay, etc.)

In both cases, the products are good for your health and the environment.
